The BKC is at about 8 kms from the airport. It is conveniently located and very well connected with the major centers. Mumbai formerly known as Bombay, is the capital of the Indian state of Maharashtra. With an estimated population of about 13 million, it is the largest metropolis in India and one of the world's most populous cities.

Mumbai is called the financial capital of India: Bombay stock exchange (BSE), which is the primary stock exchange of the country and most large business houses have their corporate offices in this city. Mumbai has been ranked 10th among the world's biggest centres of commerce in terms of the financial flow volumes.

It also the primary center for the arts and the entertainment industry. Mumbai attracts migrants from all over India because of the immense employment opportunities and the relatively high standard of living. The city is home to India's Hindi film and television industry, known as Bollywood. Mumbai is also one of the few cities that accommodates a national park, within its city limits.

Mumbai lies in the tropical zone. In March the temperature ranges from 24 ? 30 degrees Celsius and normal business dress consists of long-sleeved shirt and tie (jackets are not normally necessary except on more formal occasions).
